Teenage thug who broke into girl’s home and attacked her put behind bars

TWO teenage girls were sentenced for breaking into the home of a 14-year-old girl and THENbeating her up.

Chester Crown Court heard how Chloe Willingham, 17, and Kelsey Dyson, 16, forced their way into the home of their young victim in a pre-planned attack which was filmed on a mobile phone.

The court was told the video showing part of the “grotesque” attack was still being recovered from phones of schoolchildren across Merseyside after it was copied and Willingham had even bragged about her part in it.

At the end of the attack she made her victim kiss the boot she had used to stamp on her face.

Judge Roger Dutton agreed for the girls to be named because he said the incident was so serious.

He sentenced Dyson, of Ampthill Road, Aigburth, to a two-year detention and training order but said Willingham, who was 16 at the time, had played a more serious role in the attack.

She had pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and actual bodily harm and the judge said she should face three years behind bars.

Prosecutor Jason Smith told the court the attack, on February 15, occurred at the home of the teenage victim when she was watching TV with friends.

He said: “There was some kind of perceived slight between three girls but nothing could justify what happened on February 15.”

He said the attack was “orchestrated” and when they went into their victim’s home their target hid in the bathroom but they broke in and attacked her there.

He said the video showed Willingham stamping on the 14-year-old, kicking her in the face and banging her head on the side of the bath before bottles of shampoo and conditioner were poured over her.

Mr Smith said: “The indignities did not end there because the defendant insisted (the victim) kiss her boot.”

David McLachlan, defending Willingham, of Belmont Road, Anfield, admitted the video showed “grotesque scenes of violence”.

He said the victim had “insulted the heritage” of Willingham’s three sisters and used “the n word” adding: “That was what got her so het up – I say that as explanation not as justification.”

He said Willingham had a difficult home life, her step-father was in prison and she had been taking cocaine daily, although has now stopped”.

Sentencing Willingham Judge Dutton said Willingham and Dyson had been “bragging” about their role in the attack.

He said: “This girl could have been very seriously hurt, particularly when you were stamping on her face.”
